Judaism is the oldest of the monotheistic world religions. The Jewish faith is founded on the holy writings of the Tanakh, which include the Torah, or the Pentateuch, and other books also known from the Old Testament. Orthodox Jewish men are known by their characteristic long, curled payess sideburns and full-face beards, and their long black coats and wide-brimmed hats.
